On the bay
One runway, two terminals, minutes from downtown
San Diego International Airport, also called Lindbergh Field, sits on the bay about 3 miles from downtown. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 line up along North Harbor Drive on the south side of a single runway. Hotel runs to the Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy and the convention center are short, so the pickup timing matters more than the drive.
With only one runway, the airport handles a lot of flights in a small space. A slow morning or a marine layer over the bay can back up arrivals, so always track the flight before you leave for the terminal.

San Diego airport tips for black car drivers
Short drive, tight timing
Downtown is only minutes away, so leaving too early just means waiting. Time your exit from the cell phone lot with the passenger.
Watch the marine layer
Low clouds over the bay, most common in May and June, can slow arrivals on the single runway. Check the flight again before you leave.
Plan for convention weeks
Big shows at the convention center fill Harbor Drive and downtown hotels. Leave extra time and keep the passenger updated.
One network
Built for limo and black car operators
Whether you run a single luxury sedan or a fleet of SUVs, stretch limousines and Sprinter vans, San Diego airport keeps you busy and sometimes overbooked. Convention weeks, Coronado resort stays, biotech meetings in Torrey Pines and runs to the border all start at the airport. Uways connects you with professional chauffeurs across San Diego County, so a last minute airport transfer never turns into a lost client.
Post a SAN pickup you can't cover and another professional driver on the network takes it. Or turn on your mile range around the airport and pick up black car, limo and executive car service jobs from other operators between your own rides.
