The horseshoe
One terminal, three sections, six concourses
Miami International Airport sits about 8 miles west of downtown, between the Dolphin Expressway (SR-836) and the Airport Expressway (SR-112). Everything is in one horseshoe-shaped terminal split into North, Central and South sections, with Concourses D, E, F, G, H and J. There is no Concourse I. The roadway runs around the inside of the horseshoe, so check the concourse in the job before your black car leaves the lot.
MIA is the main US gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean, so a big share of arrivals are international. Executive and VIP meet and greet jobs are common here, and passengers take longer to come out because of customs.

MIA tips for black car drivers
Customs takes time
Many MIA arrivals are international, and passengers often come out 45 to 90 minutes after landing. Plan your wait around customs, not the landing time.
Mind the cruise schedule
On turnaround days, guests land in the morning and head straight to PortMiami. Leave extra time around the port, since every ship has a cutoff.
Watch the afternoon storms
Summer thunderstorms build fast and can hold arrivals. Check the flight again before you leave, and carry a SunPass for the expressway tolls.
One network
Built for limo and black car operators
Whether you run a single luxury sedan or a fleet of SUVs, stretch limousines and Sprinter vans, MIA keeps you busy and sometimes overbooked. Cruise turnarounds, Brickell business trips, South Beach hotel stays and Art Basel week all start at the airport. Uways connects you with professional chauffeurs across South Florida, so a last minute airport transfer never turns into a lost client.
Post a MIA pickup you can't cover and another professional driver on the network takes it. Or turn on your mile range around the airport and pick up black car, limo and executive car service jobs from other operators between your own rides.
