The terminal layout
Three terminals in the core, one on its own
O'Hare sits about 17 miles northwest of the Loop, where I-190 splits off the Kennedy Expressway. Terminals 1, 2 and 3 share one roadway around the central parking garage. Terminal 5 is on the east side of the airport with its own road, so a wrong turn costs real time. Check the terminal in the job before your black car leaves the lot.
There is no Terminal 4. Most international flights land at Terminal 5, where executive and VIP meet and greet jobs often start, and passengers take longer to come out because of customs. The airport train links all four terminals.
Step by step
How an O'Hare chauffeur pickup works on Uways
- 1
Take the job
Every airport transfer shows the terminal, flight number, passenger count and vehicle type before you accept.
- 2
Track the flight
Open the flight from the job to see weather delays and the real landing time.
- 3
Wait at the cell phone lot
Circling the terminal roadway wastes time. Wait at the cell phone lot until your passenger is ready.
- 4
Meet and drive
Meet inside at baggage claim for meet and greet jobs, or at the pickup point the airport sets for your vehicle. Then start the ride in the app.

O'Hare tips for black car drivers
Know which way to turn
Terminal 5 has its own road. Read the terminal before you enter the airport, since missing the split sends you the long way around.
Terminal 5 takes longer
International passengers often come out 45 to 90 minutes after landing. Plan your wait around customs, not the landing time.
Use the express lanes
The Kennedy's reversible express lanes run toward downtown in the morning and outbound in the evening. Check them before a Loop run.
One network
Built for limo and black car operators
Whether you run a single luxury sedan or a fleet of SUVs, stretch limousines and Sprinter vans, O'Hare keeps you busy and sometimes overbooked. Trade shows at McCormick Place, corporate travel to the suburbs and North Shore clients all start at the airport. Uways connects you with professional chauffeurs across Chicagoland, so a last minute airport transfer never turns into a lost client.
Post an O'Hare pickup you can't cover and another professional driver on the network takes it. Or turn on your mile range around the airport and pick up black car, limo and executive car service jobs from other operators between your own rides.
